Official statement from ‘South Wales Championship Wrestling’ (regarding Mad Dog Maxx & Matt Vaughn)

One week ago management at South Wales Championship Wrestling were contacted by a raging Mad Dog Max, he was ready to come to our offices and ‘’rape our faces with the sole of his shoe’’ as he put it. Why was he threatening this? Because he said he didn’t want to wait until September 14th and the Loser Leaves Town match to get his hands on Matt Vaughn and wanted management to schedule another match before hand to let them fight it out. Mad Dog told us that if we didn’t schedule this match then he would take matters into his own hands outside of the wrestling ring. Therefore, South Wales Management not wanting to jeopardise the Loser Leaves Town main event have given in to Mad Dogs demands. However without the time to promote a whole new wrestling event, management have come up with a way of letting the two wrestle with minimal effort on managements part. We have contacted both Mad Dog Max and Matt Vaughn and both have agreed to the match up, so with that being said, at some point in the next two weeks in an undisclosed venue, on an undisclosed date, these two men will battle again in a match that’s never been seen in Welsh Wrestling, and this one wont be seen either. Why will it not be seen? Because Matt Vaughn and Mad Dog Max will face each other in an Empty Arena match. No fans, no crowd, just two wrestlers, a referee, and a camera crew. This could be the wildest night in Welsh Wrestling history...The only way to ever witness this match, will be to purchase the September 14th show ‘’Aint No Stoppin Us Now’’ available in early October.

Empty Arena Match

Mad Dog Max vs. Matt Vaughn

Date and Venue to be confirmed....

NB – since press time the date of this bout has been set for the 20th August 2006, the only place you will be able to see this bout will be via South Wales DVD! DVD details to follow soon!

Mad Dog & Matt Vaughn to finally settle the score?

For the last two or three Celtic Wrestling shows Mad Dog Maxx & Matt Vaughn have been interlocked in what some have referred to as “bitter warfare”.  The animosity started at the CW event entitled “Sunday Service” (headlined by CW Heavyweight Champion Caiman Vs number one contender “The King of Old-School” Steve Corino).

At the Sunday Service event Mad Dog’s associate Jonny The Body faced off against Mr Vaughn, and at a pivotal point in the bout, with the Referee distracted Mad Dog ran down to deliver a thunderous ‘Chop’ and a signature Mad Dog ‘Pile Driver’ allowing JTB to gain the Pin-Fall victory.  This occurrence is nothing unusual as Mad Dog will gladly interfere in the odd match when the price is right, especially for the likes of JTB.  As both Mad Dog and JTB made their way back to the Locker room and Matt slowly regained his composure, Mad Dog seemed to snap again and run back into the ring to hit another thunderous ‘Chop’, and continued the beating (foaming at the mouth) until JTB frantically called him a way and talked him back-stage.  This led many within C/W to think there was something more to the seemingly “normal” interference.

This saga continued at C/W’s day time presentation in Merthyr Tydfil, Wales entitled “Lock Up”.  Following Mad Dog’s “Lock Up” victory (over C/W up and comer ‘Big Issue’ Adam Paris), an injured Matt Vaughn (Still reeling from the “Pile Driver beating”) hit the ring attempting to exact some revenge on the rapid Mad Dog!  Both wrestlers tossed insults back and forth and with a distraction supplied by returning CW wrestler “Cobra”, Mad Dog hit the ring to again ‘Pile Drive” Matt Vaughn and leave him unconscious in the middle of the ring.

Below is what Mad Dog Maxx had to say on the whole situation when we at Maddogksw.2ya.com caught up with him!

“People have been asking me why I have issues with one Matt Vaughn, people have been asking me why I keep dumping Matt Vaughn on his big stupid valleys trash head and leaving him bleeding thru his thick fu**ing ears, well this Saturday at C/W “Danger Zone” (Studio Bar, Merthyr Tydfil, Wales, 24th June), I will let every body know just why I’ve been making the “super star’s” life a living, painful - hell.

Now I know Matt is sitting  at home right now in his silly little neck brace!  Imagine this, he will be sitting at home watching some TV, he’s probably got Emmerdale on, and he’s wearing his little neck brace and his neck is hurting like hell!  Now every little noise he hears, every little tree that waves in the dark wind is going to grab his attention, and he’s going to panic, “Oh god is that Mad Dog” he’ll scream as he turns to his window.. only every little startled turn Matt Vaughn makes with his think crippled pencil neck is going to cause him crippling pain!  And that is exactly what I want.  Matt Vaughn, your in agony now, and I’m happy…on the 24th not only will I reveal why I’ve done what I have done to you, I’m going to put an end to you, not your CW career, not your wrestling career, ill put an end to you…”

PPW Heavyweight Championship – Mason out, Sloan in!

On Saturday 27th May Mad Dog Maxx (The PPW Heavyweight Champion) was set to defend his Championship against international grappler; James Mason.  Unfortunately due to reasons totally beyond his control, on the morning of the show Mason discovered to his horror that he would not be able to make the PPW championship challenge.

With just 12 hours until show time the PPW office came up with a very worthy challenger in the form of Frankie Sloan.  Frankie Sloan has been at the top of the professional wrestling business for over 12 years now and has travelled to countries all over the world including India, Saudi Arabia, Germany, Japan and the USA!

Mad Dog Maxx learned about his opponent change with just hours to spare, the “Panic” was on as Maxx made his very firest defence of the newly won PPW Championship, against very, very talented opposition!

The Championship bout took place at 9:00pm in the Welsh town of Cefn Cribwr on Saturday 27th May.  The gruelling 20 minute main event went back and forth with well paced and hard hitting action!  With both men gaining very near falls the crowd were on the edge of their seats and whipped into a frenzy!  Frankie gained a very near 3 count with a huge top rope clothesline, only to have a corner splash dodged, leaving Mad Dog to hit a roll up (and a hand full of tights) to retain!

PPW Heavyweight Championship

Mad Dog Maxx © Vs James Mason

Just two days after successfully defeating Kade Callous for the PPW Heavyweight Championship, Mad Dog Maxx will make his first title defence in one of the most challenging matches in his career!

Mad Dog’s opponent will be non-other than British Wrestling great – James Mason!  Mason has toured the world plying his wrestling trade and is a master of his chosen sport.

The TNA, NJPW and All-Star Wrestling competitor has been at the top of the British circuit now for many, many years, the hugely popular star will be gunning for the PPW Heavyweight Championship when he hit Cefn Cribwr (In South Wales)!

Mad Dog had the following to say on his championship defence:

“James Mason is a great wrestler and I have the up most respect for him, however if he thinks he is going to be leaving that night with the PPW Heavyweight Championship; he has another thing coming, I do not plan on being a transitional champion!”

New PPW Heavyweight Champion !!! (article written – 25/05/06)

Mad Dog Maxx tonight became the new PPW Heavyweight Champion!  Following a gruelling 20 minute bout with the long time champion Kade Callous, Mad Dog managed to come away with the victory.

The 20 minute cracker was a very hard hitting and well paced bout, with both men looking extremely good, the bout tetter totterd back and forth with some very close near falls by each grappler.  Just as Kade looked to have it won with a Urange Suplex and a hellatious “Block Buster”, Mad Dog managed to use a rope break to his advantage, counter a top rope attempt and hit his trade mark “Ace Crusher” to win the bout!

We will attempt top gain comment for Mad Dog as soon as possible!

Mad Dog Maxx to receive shot at PPW Heavyweight Championship (04/05/06)

On Saturday 25th May 2006 Mad Dog Maxx will challenge for the PPW Heavyweight Championship against long reigning champion Kade Callous.  Mad Dog was present at the very first PPW show and has wrestled on 90% of PPW shows, and this will be his first title challenge for the Pro Power Wrestling promotion!

“On my last run with PPW I was always busy with something other than Championships weather it be tagging with my great tag partner Jonny The Body or dealing with a “feud” so to speak, this time round my sights are set on Gold, I wanted to compete for either of the companies championships (PPW Heavyweight Championship & PPW Welsh Championship), thankfully the office have recognised this and I have my shot on the 25th at the Merthyr Labour Club.

My self and Kade have wrestled many, many times, I have probably wrestled him more than any one else in my career, and with that I know his style very well, but it will be no walk in the park though as he knows my style equally as well!  Kade is a huge physical specimen, he is a natural as I and others like to put it, but this I believe I can over come; I plan on becoming the next PPW Champion!” – Mad Dog Maxx on his Upcoming PPW Title challenge.

Mad Dog Maxx & Marcus Kool to tangle one last time!

(04/05/06)

Mad Dog Maxx & Marcus Kool have wrestled each other an unprecedented 9 times this year, and with four victories apiece (and one time limit draw), the score is evenly tied with only one last chance for either man to settle old scores!

Marcus will soon be immigrating to Australia and will be plying his wrestling trade in the land down under, and before he goes the two rivals are set to compete for Celtic Wrestling on Sunday 28th May.

“I have Known Marcus for many years now, he attended school with my younger brother (4 years after me I think), and knowing him as a young school kid, I used to see him in the front row of local wrestling events I wrestled on, and of-corse he would visit my brother at my home so they could watch wrestling together etc, never in a million years did I think we would have all these very enjoyable matches for many promotions like we have this year!

I have enjoyed wrestling Marcus this year so very much, and it’s a shame that seemingly the 28th will be our very last round, we have clicked this year in the ring very well, and on the road my self, Kade Callous and Jonny The Body ( a very close nit group we are, unless we are competing against each other! )have welcomed him in to our group, we have such a laugh on the road (and beat the Shit out of each other in the ring) LOL,

This “last round” so to speak will be an emotional one on a personal level, but on a professional one it will be all about business, and ill save the good byes till after the final bell, I have just been told we both hold 4 victories over each other (with one time limit draw also), and if Marcus thinks he is going to Australia with a 5-4 advantage he has another thing coming!  Ill send him over there with a few extra bruises that’s for sure, ill shake his hand in the locker room and say good bye after the bout, as when that bell goes, there will be no smiling or hand shakes from my side!” said Mad Dog Maxx on his final bout with Mr Kool.

On Thursday 6th April Mad Dog Maxx will head to Kidderminster, England to make his debut for the newly formed wrestling organisation D.P.W (Damage Pro Wrestling). This defence will be the second defence on English soil since the “Birds” won the World Tag Titles in Versailles, Kentucky - USA.

On Friday the 7th April Mad Dog will be heading to Trowbridge, in the south west of England to compete in a tag bout again with fellow ‘FreeBird’ Jonny The Body to compete for UCW. This show will also have a very special quest in the form of British Wrestling Legend - Kendo Nagasaki!

HCW World Tag Team Championship

UK FreeBirds (Mad Dog Maxx & Jonny The Body) © Def The Bassey Brothers (Thomas Bassey & Sweet Sugar Bassey)

After winning the titles in Versailles, Kentucky, USA the UKFB made their first defence of the tag titles, and it was a successful one!  The defence took place in Merthyr Tydfil, Wales against the imposing Welsh tag team “The Bassey Bros”.  The Basseys started the bout very strong, separating the smaller UKFB; Mad Dog Maxx and working him over making quick tags.  The Basseys got some neat near falls on Mad Dog Maxx and also looked close to getting a submission victory as they worked together smartly on Mad Dog’s arm.

The bout took a swift turn as JTB was tagged in and out of nowhere hit a Samoan Drop on “Sweet Sugar” Bassey.  From this point in the “Birds” cut the ring in two if you will, as they concentrated their efforts on “Sugar” with double team tactics as well as some illegal movements behind the ref’s back!  Sugar was able to make a desperation tag to his larger brother allowing him to totally clear house on the ‘free birds’, after a double flying tackle and a huge “hart attack” double team it looked as if the UFFB we’re doomed to loose their newly won tag straps! As Bassey reared back to hit his devastating “spear” the Basseys manager in a “turn” of sorts held on to his leg stopping him from advancing further!   With the bigger Bassey brother distracted, both Mad Dog & Jonny combined to pin Sweet Sugar and retain the World Tag Team Championships

It was then revealed that all along “MR P” the so called manager of the Bassey Brothers was in the pockets of the UK FreeBirds!
